The Initiative for Future Investment (IF Investment) institute announced that it has postponed its 10th annual conference in Riyadh to 2027.

The conference was scheduled to be held from the 4th to the 7th of Aban.

The decision was made following the Houthis’ attacks on Saudi Arabia in the past few weeks. The institute says it will announce the new date “soon.”

Maha Bint Mishari Al Saud, the institute’s CEO and a member of the royal family, said the decision “comes from a deep commitment to our partners, members, speakers and our representatives.”

She added: “Since this is our milestone 10th edition, we want to ensure we deliver the full scale, the extraordinary quality and the unforgettable impact that our community expects and has every right to.”

In the institute’s statement, the Houthis’ attacks were not given as the reason for the postponement.

Among the list of speakers for this edition were Yasser Al-Rumayyan of the Public Investment Fund, Jamie Dimon of JPMorgan Chase, Larry Fink of BlackRock, David Solomon of Goldman Sachs, and Dina Powel McCormick of Meta.

The conference is part of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s efforts to move the Saudi economy away from oil and attract Western investment.
