Taraosakeh Sadqi, an Iran International journalist, said, pointing to the escalation of fighting in Yemen, that the Saudi ambassador has announced that the Bab al-Mandeb Strait has been cleared of the Houthis and that forces backing the Yemeni government, with air support from Saudi Arabia, have advanced in this region in recent days.

She added that despite the defense agreement of Mecca, there is no sign so far of the deployment of Turkish or Pakistani ground forces to fight the Houthis, and support from these countries has been more in the form of equipment and defensive coverage for Saudi Arabia.
