🔻 The Spanish Football Federation today (Monday) officially announced the extension of the contract of Luis de la Fuente, the national team head coach, until 2032. The coach’s previous contract was valid until 2028.

🔹 The 65-year-old De la Fuente has been in charge of Spain since 2022, and in 49 matches he has recorded 37 wins, 10 draws, and two defeats. During this period, he led Spain to win the 2026 World Cup, Euro 2024, and the UEFA Nations League in the 2022–2023 season.

🔹 With his contract extension, the former Athletic Bilbao and Alavés head coach will have the opportunity to sit on Spain’s bench for Euro 2028, the 2030 World Cup, and Euro 2032 as well.

🔹 The 2030 World Cup is set to be hosted by Spain, Portugal, and Morocco, and Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay will each host one match on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the World Cup.
