🔻Sardar Azmoun, after being called up again to the Iranian national football team, wrote on social media about his longing for the national team jersey and his happiness at returning among the national team players.

🔹Referring to his time in the national team since 2014, Azmoun wrote: “From 2014 until today, I have lived with this jersey. I came, I went, I was crossed out, I came back. I won, I lost, I laughed, I cried, but I never— even when I wasn’t there—considered myself separate from the national team.”

🔹He continued: “During this time, more than what I showed, I was missing the national team. Today, when I found out I’ve been called up again, my joy was exactly like the first time. This path has never gone the way I wanted it to, but I have never gotten tired of loving this jersey.”

🔹At the end, Azmoun emphasized: “I’m not upset with anyone, and I don’t have anything to prove. I’m just happy that I have the chance again— the chance to fight with all my being for a country I love.”
