🔺Sharq newspaper: 35% of general practitioners in Iran no longer practice medicine

▪Sharq newspaper, in a report, wrote that low incomes and the rising costs of running clinics have pushed many general practitioners in Iran into jobs such as ridesharing and caring for the elderly, and today 35% of general practitioners no longer practice medicine.

▪According to this newspaper, in recent years a number of doctors have shut down their clinics due to inability to pay clinic costs, and even stopped practicing.

▪The spokesperson for the Medical Council, referring to the wave of doctors becoming unemployed, emphasized that general practitioners have gone to ridesharing on internet taxi platforms to make a living.

▪The monthly income of most general practitioners is between 25 and 35 million tomans.
