Shahram Khaledi, a researcher of Middle East history and international relations, referring to the expulsion of two members of the Islamic Republic delegation from the United States, said that Washington can limit the scope of the presence and movement of foreign representatives attending United Nations meetings based on security considerations and public order.
He added that if members of the delegation remain in the United States beyond the specified period, the country can ask them to leave U.S. soil and, if they refuse, deport them; an action, according to him, that should be seen within the framework of diplomatic pressures on the Islamic Republic.
