Scott Bessent, the U.S. Treasury Secretary, in an exclusive interview with Iran International, said that it is beyond him that a country with the world’s third-largest energy natural reserves does not produce enough gasoline to meet domestic needs. He said that while the government is unable to provide public services, he advises people not to pay taxes.

He also addressed the Iranian people, saying that whatever they need for the winter, they should get now, and also think about how to obtain fuel and store it now.
