The CEO of Saudi Aramco said the company is looking into new export routes and overseas capacity, and is also studying the potential expansion of its East-West pipeline.

On Tuesday, Amin Nasser told Reuters that Aramco is ready to quickly increase its production if needed.

The U.S. and Israel’s war with the Islamic Republic has reduced Aramco output, but higher prices have offset the drop in volumes.

The company exports its oil from the eastern terminals in the Persian Gulf—its traditional route—and from the Red Sea terminals via the East-West pipeline.

Nasser called the pipeline a “vital artery.” The pipeline became busier after the start of the war in late February, and has been targeted by attacks several times.
