Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry, following an attack on the Qatari ship carrying liquefied natural gas “Al-Maida” in the Persian Gulf, called for urgent action by the international community to ensure maritime security, protect international trade, and implement international law.

In a statement on X on Sunday, 10 Aban, the ministry strongly condemned the attack on this vessel, which belongs to Qatar’s gas transport company, and announced its opposition to any action that could threaten the security of shipping and global energy supply.

Saudi Arabia also announced its solidarity with Qatar in all of the actions taken by this country to protect its ships and ensure the security of international trade.
