A Lebanese parliament member urged Hezbollah to discuss a roadmap with the president of the country directly, as part of negotiations aimed at the departure of Israel from Lebanese territory.

Based on a post published by the Lebanese presidential office on X, Alain Aoun said: “The success of the path that the president has pursued to stop the war and restore the leadership’s authority requires the cooperation of all Lebanese and acceptance of the exclusive armament path in the hands of the state.”

He added: “I ask Hezbollah to come to Baabda and hold talks with the president so that an agreement can be reached on a roadmap that will activate the negotiations and lead to Israel’s withdrawal and the deployment of the army across all of Lebanon’s territory.”

The presidential palace of Joseph Aoun is located in Baabda.
