Sadegh Beygdeli, a jurist and political activist, in reference to the continued Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, said that the “Makkah Agreement” is now facing its first serious test, and it remains to be seen to what extent Pakistan and Turkey, within the framework of this agreement, will move to support Saudi Arabia.
He added that after weakening or losing a number of its “geopolitical cards,” the Islamic Republic is now using the Bab al-Mandab as one of its last cards, and although using these cards has provided the Islamic Republic with temporary advantages, at the strategic level it has ultimately worked against it.
