🔶 Russia calls signs of new military action against Iran “very worrying”

Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Monday, November 2 (11 Aban), warned about “signs regarding the planning of new military action against Iran” and described the matter as “very worrying.”

Zakharova, speaking at a press briefing in Moscow, said: “The situation around Iran, which has been subjected to unwarranted attacks by the United States and Israel, remains complex. This conflict remains unresolved and aligns with, and is intertwined with, other crises in the Middle East. Signs indicating that there is planning for new military action against the Islamic Republic are very worrying.”

She called military operations against Iran “pointless” and said that attacks cannot “break the will of the Iranian people.” The spokesperson for Russia’s foreign ministry called for stepping up diplomatic efforts to reach a peaceful solution to the Iran crisis.

Zakharova’s emphasis on finding a diplomatic solution comes as, according to reports, Moscow provides military support to the Islamic Republic and its proxy groups.

The Associated Press has recently reported that Yemen’s Houthis and Iran-backed militias in Iraq have used Russian satellite information and China’s capabilities to attack oil and military targets in Saudi Arabia. According to Saudi and Houthi officials, Russian civilian and military satellites have been circling over the target areas in the days before and after the attacks.

Nawaf Ubaid, founder of the location intelligence company “Aurora Geosignals Intelligence” in Geneva, also confirmed that the activity of Russian satellites has fully coincided with the times of the attacks; a pattern that could indicate information gathering for attackers.
