🔶 Trump’s phone call with Netanyahu “tough and challenging”; war or talks

Donald Trump, the U.S. president, on Saturday, October 31, spoke in a “frank” phone call with Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, about the status of U.S. negotiations with Iran and the possible timing for the resumption of military operations. The report has been attributed to an Israeli source and an American source.

According to these sources, Netanyahu is trying to convince Trump to begin an attack on Iran immediately after the U.S. midterm elections on Tuesday.

But for now, Trump prefers to give negotiations time to play out; an approach that has raised concern for the Israeli prime minister.

An Israeli source described the phone call as “tough and challenging,” while the American source characterized it as “frank and direct.”

The White House and the office of the Israeli prime minister declined to comment on the call.
