🔶 عراقچی: If the U.S. fulfills Iran’s conditions on the first day, the Strait of Hormuz will reopen on the second day

Abbas Araqchi, the foreign minister of the Islamic Republic, on Sunday, November 1 (10 Aban), said that the so-called “seven-day plan” proposed by Iran has now been reduced to “two days,” so that “if the United States fulfills Iran’s conditions on the first day, the Strait of Hormuz will reopen on the second day.”

He also, in an interview with Al Arabiya news network, said: “The Islamic Republic of Iran is prepared simultaneously for defense and diplomacy, and what path the Americans choose depends on their rationality.”

Ismail Baghaei, the spokesperson of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also said on Monday, November 2, in part of his remarks at the weekly meeting with journalists: “No agreement will take shape, and the reopening or securing of the Strait of Hormuz will not happen unless the U.S. maritime blockade ends and Iran’s legitimate demands are implemented.”

Baghaei noted that the basis of negotiations with Washington is the same seven-point plan of Tehran, which has now taken a more condensed form and “there is readiness to implement it within two days.”

The spokesperson of the Islamic Republic’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs claimed that “the only real initiative available is Tehran’s proposed plan.”
