🔺Russia attacked Ukraine’s power grid; Ukraine attacked the fourth largest refinery in Russia

▪Russia targeted the power grid of four Ukrainian regions during the night, leaving hundreds of thousands of households without electricity. At the same time, Ukraine targeted one of Russia’s largest refineries.

▪The Ukrainian defense company announced that on Saturday night, Ukrainian forces struck the Lukoil refinery in the city of Kostovo in Nizhny Novgorod.

▪The governor of Nizhny Novgorod said that more than 100 drones were destroyed in the overnight attack, and an industrial facility in the Kostovo district saw “significant damage.”

▪The Kostovo refinery is Russia’s fourth-largest refinery and the country’s second-largest gasoline producer, processing 15 to 17 million tons of crude oil annually. The distance between this refinery and the Ukraine border is about 800 kilometers.
