Reuters reported on Sunday, 12 Mehr, that the US aircraft carrier USS George H. W. Bush arrived near Thailand’s Phuket Island on Sunday with about 4,800 personnel after months of supporting US operations in the Middle East.

According to this report, this Nimitz-class carrier operated during the Iran war in the Arabian Sea. The carrier will anchor off the coast near Phuket, and its crew will be present on the island from 12 to 17 Mehr for rest and leisure.

The trip comes a month after a five-day halt of the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln, with about 5,000 sailors and Marines, in eastern Thailand.
