Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, said during a meeting with some resident foreign ambassadors in Tehran that reopening the Strait of Hormuz was contingent on accepting Iran’s conditions and lifting the blockade conditionally.
Araghchi added: “Based on the seven-day plan we have presented, if the conditions of the Islamic Republic are accepted and hostile measures are revoked, the Strait of Hormuz will be fully reopened within seven days and travel and transit along this vital artery will return to normal.”
The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic also said that a more forceful response than before is expected to any further wrongdoing and renewed aggression by the enemies.
Abbas Araghchi added: “That it has been said that the Iranian delegation was expelled from the United States—regardless of whether that is true—is really strange. On the one hand, they admit that they are not a proper host for the United Nations, and on the other, they showed how angry they were about our delegation’s presence.”
