Reuters reports that China is sending a special envoy to Iran and Oman to expand its role in the Middle East. Based on data from the company Kepler, China purchased more than 80% of Iran’s maritime oil exports last year, and the volume of its annual trade with the Persian Gulf Arab countries has reached about $300 billion.
