Qatar’s foreign ministry spokesperson said that Qatari mediators are exchanging proposals between the United States and the Islamic Republic so that negotiations between the two sides can resume.

Majed Al Ansari told Bloomberg on Sunday: “In the past two weeks, we have exchanged various ideas to resume talks.”

He added: “This is only one of the versions of the documents being exchanged. We are trying to bridge the gap and find the right moment to move things forward.”

According to Al Ansari, the Qatari mediators are currently “moving between different capitals” to make the talks progress further.

On Saturday, Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, told Al Jazeera that the Islamic Republic’s conditions for ending the war have reached Washington via Qatar.
