The “Qalamro Refah” website, citing the latest report from the Statistical Center of Iran, wrote: “Iran’s economy in the current spring season has had a negative growth of 10.1% compared to the same season last year, most of which is due to the contraction in the industrial and oil sector.”

According to Qalamro Refah, the growth in the current spring season, at -10.1%, is the lowest figure in the past 15 years. The inflation rate has also surpassed its 80-year record in recent months.

This website wrote that, except for the 2.3% growth of the agriculture group, industries, and mines, there was negative growth of 14.7% in industries and mines and negative growth of 4.8% in services.

Based on this report, the oil sector experienced the largest contraction with negative growth of 26.4%, and the distribution of natural gas also had negative growth of 21.3%.

Qalamro Refah also wrote that final household consumption in this spring decreased by 4% compared to last spring, indicating a contraction of people’s tables, a decline in real purchasing power, and a reduction in total demand.
