🔻According to Agence France-Presse, Kylian Mbappé’s controversial remarks about Mao Zedong, the former leader of China, sparked a wave of anger in the country; a controversy that led to the cancellation of major commercial contracts on a unilateral basis and the blocking of this French star’s user accounts.

🔹In an urgent decision, major Chinese brands cut their cooperation with Kylian Mbappé, the 27-year-old Real Madrid forward and captain of the France national team. The decision was made after the release of a video in which Mbappé refers to Mao Zedong as a “dictator.”

🔹Three major companies—“Dongpeng” (a beverage producer), “Mengniu” (a dairy products producer), and “Milky Ground” (a cheese producer)—announced the end of their cooperation with this player in official statements.

🔹In its statement, Dongpeng wrote: “Our company strongly opposes any conduct that offends national sentiments and adopts a policy of zero tolerance; therefore, all cooperation with Mbappé will be immediately suspended.”
