🔺Nigerian forces rescued 308 hostages

◾Nigeria’s security forces rescued 308 people who had been abducted in separate attacks in the states of Niger and Kwara in the north of the country.

◾Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president of Nigeria, described the operation as the biggest rescue operation carried out in a single day by a joint security team.

◾In a statement released on Wednesday, the Office of the President said that 163 of the rescued people had been abducted from the “Woro” area in the “Kaiama” local government area in Kwara State, and that another 145 people had been abducted from the neighboring state of Niger.

◾The victims in Kwara State had been held in captivity since February, when armed men attacked their place of residence and killed at least 170 others.
