Molavi Abdolhamid, the Sunni Friday Prayer leader of Zahedan, referring to the anniversary of the death of Mahsa Jina Amini and the killing of a large number of protesters, said: “If officials had paid attention to the people’s rightful demands and had made changes in the country, people would not have been killed, and today the country would not be in these difficult conditions.”

According to the information website of the office of the Sunni Friday Prayer leader in Zahedan, in his remarks he also referred, in addition to the protests of 1401 [2022-2023], to the protests of Aban 1398 [November 2019] and to the “very heartbreaking” events of Dey 1404 [December 2025]. He added: “In these protests, many of our fellow countrymen lost their lives and many families were left in mourning. These events were very bitter and distressing.”

Criticizing the “entry of foreign and proxy forces into the country and the province,” he said: “It is heard that foreign and proxy forces are being brought into the country and the province [Sistan and Baluchestan]. I don’t see much success in this policy, and I believe that officials should rely on the people and, through trust-building, get work done with the people.”
