Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic, said on Monday, Mehr 27, in a meeting with Sergei Lavrov, the Russian foreign minister, that the continuation of security and stability in the region depends on multilateral cooperation.

IRIB News Agency reported that in this meeting, Rezaei emphasized the expansion of strategic cooperation between Tehran and Moscow in regional affairs to strengthen security and stability, and expressed his welcome for Russia’s initiatives to expand cooperation between the two countries.

The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic also said in this meeting that joint economic projects, including the completion of strategic corridors, will help strengthen regional stability.
