Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, the speaker of parliament, said the choice is not between war or real negotiations, and that “one must both fight and negotiate.” He added that after delivering “deadly blows” and achieving “a decisive victory,” the gains should be consolidated by using diplomacy.
