🔻 Hakan Fidan, Turkey’s foreign minister, says that Turkey, along with other countries, is working on new proposals aimed at bringing the United States and Iran closer to an agreement to end the war.

Speaking to the Turkish television network “NTV,” Mr. Fidan said: “Turkey and other countries are presenting proposals and doing everything they can to reach a result for the negotiations between the United States and Iran.”

Hakan Fidan did not provide details of these proposals, but pointed to the existence of a lack of trust between Washington and Tehran.

He said: “There is intense mistrust between the parties. Now both sides are openly trying to move forward in a way that will secure their interests.”
