🔺Ministry of Interior: No change has been made to the hijab law
▪ The political deputy of the Minister of Interior of the Islamic Republic said that in the latest decision made regarding the virtue and hijab law during Ali Khamenei’s tenure, no change had been introduced. He added that the president also emphasized the same decision, and the Ministry of Interior has taken no action in this regard.
▪ The law “Supporting the family through promoting the culture of modesty and hijab” was halted in Azar 1403 and after being approved by the parliament, by order of the Supreme National Security Council. The law had faced widespread opposition.
▪ Despite this suspension, reports about judicial actions, street warnings, the sending of text messages, and the sealing of cafés related to hijab have not stopped, and in Tehran, at least 20 cafés and restaurants have been sealed due to improper hijab.
