Media affiliated with the Islamic Republic announced that an explosion in Shamsabad Industrial Town, which occurred at about 12:56 on Tuesday, 13 Mordad, was related to the “casting tank of an aluminum factory in the industrial town” in that area.

According to the spokesperson of the Tehran province EMS organization, 18 people were injured in the explosion, 4 of whom were transferred to medical centers. Also, an EMS base near the site of the incident was destroyed due to the blast wave, but it caused no casualties. Tabrizi added that the cause of the explosion is under investigation.
