Maryam Satou, the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Iran, announced that at least 34 people have been executed in connection with nationwide protests in Iran.

She, criticizing arrests, a few-minute trials, and forced confessions, called for an end to executions, the release of prisoners, and guarantees of fair trial.
