🔺Lebanon’s president criticized Israel for not implementing the ceasefire agreement
▪The office of the Lebanese presidency announced, in a statement, the meeting between Joseph Aoun and the EU foreign policy chief. In the meeting, Lebanon’s president said that Israel refuses to carry out the provisions of the agreement with its country.
▪He emphasized that “negotiation is a substitute for war, and an agreement is the only way to end the state of hostility between Lebanon and Israel,” and recalled that the Lebanese army is fully carrying out its duty in implementing the agreement with Israel.
▪The Israel-Lebanon peace agreement, reached through U.S. mediation, has three pillars: the disarmament of Hezbollah, the gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon, and the deployment of the Lebanese army in the south of the country.
