🔸Large wildfires in southern Turkey, near the country’s tourist coasts, have forced hundreds of people to leave their homes, and extensive firefighting operations to contain the blaze are ongoing.

🔸According to Turkish officials, more than 3,000 firefighters, with the support of more than 20 firefighting planes and helicopters, are working to contain the flames in Muğla Province, one of the main centers of the fires. In addition, the main route between Antalya and Fethiye has been closed due to heavy smoke, and access to the ancient site of Olympos has also been suspended.

🔸Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of Turkey, said that on Wednesday about 90 fires broke out in different parts of the country, 81 of which have been brought under control. According to him, Turkey has simultaneously sent two firefighting aircraft to Spain and two other aircraft to France to help put out the wildfires.
