Kpler data from commodity intelligence firm show that Saudi Arabia’s oil exports this month have peaked in spite of the targeting of the East-West oil pipeline and disruption of the country’s oil loading in the Red Sea.
Saudi Arabia this month has exported about 6 million barrels of oil per day, with most of it transiting through the Strait of Hormuz with support from a U.S. military fleet.
After the Islamic Republic blocked the Strait of Hormuz, Saudi Arabia had been exporting much of its oil through the East-West pipeline and the Yanbu port in the Red Sea, but this pipeline was targeted on September 10 from Iraqi territory.
Now shipping data shows that the country has sharply increased its oil exports; total Saudi oil exports have reached the highest level since the start of the Middle East war and are comparable to the country’s average daily oil exports over the past year.
