🔺The United States extended the deadline for buyers of Lukoil’s foreign assets until 30 Aban

◾The Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Treasury extended the deadline for companies to negotiate the purchase of Lukoil’s foreign assets in Russia until 30 Aban.

◾The extension was made after the withdrawal of the U.S. investment company Carlyle Group earlier this month.

◾On 30 Mehr last year, the United States imposed sanctions on Lukoil and Rosneft in order to reduce Russia’s ability to pay the costs of the war in Ukraine. Lukoil is the second-largest oil producer in Russia, and Rosneft is the largest.

◾After the sanctions, Lukoil was forced to sell its foreign assets. These assets include refineries in Bulgaria, Romania, and the Netherlands, and about 2,500 fuel stations in 19 countries.
