Kazem Gharibabadi, legal deputy of the Islamic Republic’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said Iran is “in wartime conditions” and that no commercial ship can pass through the Strait of Hormuz without coordination with the Islamic Republic. He said that reopening the strait depends on the fulfillment of U.S. commitments, and added that the Strait of Hormuz is part of the Islamic Republic’s national security and one of its “defense capacities.”
