Kamyār Behrang, a member of the editorial board of Iran International, says that the dispute between Masoud Pezeshkian and Saeed Jalili over negotiations is part of an internal dispute within the Islamic Republic aimed at determining Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s legacy.
According to him, both factions are trying to attribute responsibility for Khamenei’s policies to him while also distancing themselves from the consequences of those policies; while the cost of this struggle is paid by the people of Iran, as their tables grow smaller.
