🔻Jordan says it tracked and destroyed five rockets fired from Iran early Thursday morning and destroyed them

Jordan’s armed forces said that the country’s air defense systems early Thursday morning tracked and shot down five missiles fired from Iran.

According to a spokesperson for Jordan’s armed forces, “military radars identified these missiles and then air defense units successfully shot down all five targets.”

Earlier, Iranian media reported the launch of several missiles toward an “American forces base in Jordan.”

Early Wednesday morning, CENTCOM had also announced that Iran launched several ballistic missiles toward a U.S. base in Jordan. The United States called the attack “surprising,” but said that all the missiles were intercepted and destroyed.
