🔸Jordan’s army said on Monday, 4 Aban, that the country’s air force targeted positions and shelters belonging to armed groups in southern Syria in airstrikes.

🔸Jordanian military officials emphasized that the operation was carried out after investigations showed that the perpetrators of last week’s deadly attack on a church in this country were in contact with terrorist groups based in southern Syria.

🔸The Jordanian army noted that the military action was carried out in direct coordination with Damascus.

🔸In contrast, a statement from the Syrian government rejected the claim by Amman that Damascus was informed about the attack.

🔸The Syrian state news agency (SANA) also reported, citing a relief official in the province, that during Jordan’s airstrikes on points in this province, five civilians, including several women and children, lost their lives.
