It has been reported that an explosion occurred at Egypt’s Damietta LNG terminal during cargo unloading operations.

Authorities responded to the incident and the situation has been brought under control; the vessels involved have been moved outside the port area.

Port authorities expect operations at the berths and other terminals to resume later tonight. The cause of the explosion has not yet been disclosed.
