A camera mounted on a car recorded the moment of an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 that shook the Kumamoto province in southern Japan on Tuesday (July 28, 2026). In these images, water from the river is sprayed around at the same time as the onset of the ground shaking and the road surface moving. So far, the earthquake has left at least 13 dead, and more than 100 aftershocks have been recorded since then.
