Israeli President Isaac Herzog thanked Prince Reza Pahlavi for a condolence message to the victims of the October 7 attack and called it a symbol of “deep friendship.”

Navid Mahbi, a political analyst, said this message and Herzog’s reaction could be a sign of shaping Iran-Israel relations after the Islamic Republic. He added that the historical connection between Iranians and Jews, the record of relations between the two countries before the revolution, and Iranian public opposition to the anti-Israel policies of the Islamic Republic have strengthened the grounds for a return to normal relations.
