The Israeli army said on Thursday, 9 Mehr, that in two airstrikes on Tuesday in Gaza City and Jabalia, Mohammad Jamal Mahmoud Abu al-Shaar, a team commander in Hamas’s military wing, and Musab Abd al-Ghalil Thaqib Al-Balabiisi, one of the commanders of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s military wing, were killed.

According to the Israeli army, both men had entered Israeli territory on October 7. The army said Abu al-Shaar entered Be’eri kibbutz and participated in the abduction of six people and their transfer to the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army added that the two men had recently been designing attacks against Israeli military personnel and citizens, violating the ceasefire, and that the airstrikes were carried out with the aim of “removing the threat.”
