The Israeli army has begun a two-day exercise in the maritime and land domains that will continue until Tuesday evening.
In a statement, the Israeli army said the exercise includes extensive movement by ships and security forces, adding that it is planned in advance and is not related to any security incident.
The army also reported another drill in Renana in central Israel, to be held on Monday evening, in which lighting equipment and extensive movement of forces and rescue vehicles will be used.
The exercises are taking place as the region remains in a tense situation following Donald Trump’s announcement about the cancellation of a planned attack on the Islamic Republic.
Trump said the decision was made after Tehran and other countries in the region requested completing the peace agreement framework.
