Ismail Hosseini, a member of the Energy Commission of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s parliament, said that a working group on gasoline has been formed in this commission to examine the gasoline shortfall.

Hosseini added that members of this working group are trying to reach a plan for implementation that will cause the least harm to the people. He said that so far no plan has been finalized and that all proposals are still in the stage of technical and expert review.

He added that, given the gasoline imbalance, a choice must be made between continuing the current situation and implementing one of the proposed plans—an option that, under current conditions, would entail the least damage and cost for the people.

Hosseini also asked experts and thinkers who have an idea or plan to address the gasoline shortfall to submit their proposals to this commission.
