🔸Ismail Baqayi, the spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in an interview with Austria’s ORF network that the Americans are “exchanging messages with the Islamic Republic, and in the current situation, intermediaries, including Pakistan and Qatar, are active and messages are being passed between the parties.”
🔸However, he added that “for any kind of dialogue to take shape, there must be a suitable setting, but the United States has destroyed such a setting.”
🔸Ismail Baqayi also said: “A negotiation whose goal is to dictate or impose demands. We will certainly not accept such a negotiation.”
🔸These remarks are being made while Mr. Baqayi, on Sunday, reported “advances” in the negotiations and the exchange of views between Tehran and Muscat without referring to any details.
🔸After that, this official of the Islamic Republic commented that an Omani delegation that had come to Tehran on Saturday evening to discuss the management of the Strait of Hormuz left Iran.
