Ismail Baghai, the Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic, said that the joint statement of Iran and Oman on determining the “safe route” for the transit of commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz is at the stage of review and final drafting. The remarks are being made while earlier reports had been published about the draft agreement between Tehran and Muscat being finalized and awaiting the final approval of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic.
