Deputy Foreign Minister, Kazem Qaribabadi:

The United States sent a message, about 4 or 5 days after the start of the new round of hostilities, requesting negotiations and a resolution of issues.

Any agreement regarding the Strait of Hormuz must be only between Iran and Oman. We do not accept any foreign involvement in the Strait of Hormuz.

With the implementation of the new agreement, the existing temporary routes in the Strait of Hormuz will be closed.

A significant portion of the routes of incoming and outgoing ships to Iran’s territorial waters will pass through these routes.
