🔻Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), citing the Central Bank, has reported a “decline in point-to-point inflation in Shahrivar.”

According to this report, the decline comes after 15 months of an upward trend. Based on this news, Abdolnaser Hemmati, the Governor of the Central Bank, said today, referring to “3.9% inflation in Shahrivar,” that “after 15 months, point-to-point inflation in Shahrivar of the current year, albeit slightly, fell.”

According to him, “the point-to-point inflation figure, which had risen over a 15-month period—since the time of the 12-day war—reached 84.4% in the month of Mordad, and during Shahrivar of the current year it decreased to 83.8%.”

The statements by the Governor of Iran’s Central Bank come while, in recent months, increases in the prices of essential items have followed an upward trend, and the price of the dollar, after reaching more than 234,000 tomans, has risen by more than 16% over the past month.
