🔻IRGC claims it destroyed drone hangars at Ali al-Salem base

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps says that in the Thursday morning attack on the Ali al-Salem air base in Kuwait, it burned and destroyed two drone hangars and a fuel tank for military airplanes and helicopters. So far, the claim has not been confirmed by Kuwaiti or American officials or by independent sources.

The IRGC public relations described the attack as part of “Operation Nasr 2” and in response to the presence of U.S. forces in the region, but it did not provide details about the type of weapons used, the extent of damage, or possible casualties.

The IRGC had previously also claimed an attack on the Ali al-Salem base and said it inflicted extensive damage on U.S. facilities and personnel; claims that were not confirmed at the time by the United States or Kuwait. The Ali al-Salem base is located in the northwestern part of Kuwait, and American forces use it.
