🚨 Turkish media described the reported Ukraine attack on an Iranian ship in the Caspian Sea as an indication of the possible expansion of the conflict with Iran and its broader geopolitical repercussions for Turkey.

The reports said the attack took place one day before Volodymyr Zelensky’s scheduled trip to the United States, and some analysts believe its aim was to “strengthen” Kyiv’s position ahead of talks with Donald Trump.

Some commentators in Turkey accused Washington of using Ukraine to expand a “proxy war” against Iran, while others argued that Kyiv had already been “indirectly” involved in this dispute by providing training to Gulf countries on countering Iranian drones.
