The Iraqi Prime Minister and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, during a night visit to the air defense command operations center of the country, ordered the strengthening of Iraq’s air defense systems to counter air threats.

Ali Al-Zaydi said that “we will not allow our airspace to be violated by any party or for its security to be attacked.”

He also emphasized that Iraq will not allow its soil or airspace to become a point from which any aggression against neighboring countries is carried out.

In this regard, the office of the Iraqi Prime Minister announced that Ali Al-Zaydi’s night visit to the air defense command operations center of the country took place within the framework of the implementation of the Iraq-U.S. agreement to end the mission of the forces of the international coalition and to complete their full withdrawal from Iraq by September 30 next.

With the start of military tensions in the region, the Islamic Republic, on several occasions, has targeted the premises of its rival parties based in Iraq with missile and drone attacks.

On the other hand, militia groups affiliated with the Islamic Republic have carried out threats against both military and civilian facilities in Saudi Arabia.
